01Syllabus

Four sessions, one real project.

  1. 01

The map, and your first live app

What each kind of AI tool is for: chat assistants, coding agents, and app builders. Set up Claude Code, build a small app, and put it on the internet within the first hour.

  2. 02

From work problem to buildable plan

How an app actually works (screens, data, logic). Turn a task from your job into a small version you can finish, and write the brief the AI builds from.

  3. 03

Build it, then make it good

Build the first version of your project. Describe what you want precisely, change things without breaking them, check the AI’s work, and give it a design worth showing.

  4. 04

    Real data, real users

Connect a database or outside service, deploy for coworkers, and plan how to maintain it. Each participant demos a working project.

  • Spot tasks and workflows at work where AI can save time or do something new
  • Choose the right AI tool for a job, and know its limits
  • Build and deploy a working application without prior programming experience
  • Plan, iterate on, and evaluate AI-generated work with a clear method
  • Maintain and extend a small internal tool after the course
  • Explain how the tool works to teammates and stakeholders

Who it’s for

Designers, product managers, researchers, operators, and other knowledge workers.

Prerequisites

None. No programming experience. A laptop and a Claude Pro plan ($20/month).

To complete

Attend all four sessions and demo a working project in session four.

02Participants

What people built.

A full multi-page app in 2.5 hours

“I started from knowing nothing at all about coding or Claude Code and by the end of the 2.5 hours was able to build a full app with multiple pages and resources!”

Participant · Intro to Vibecoding, March 2026

A small-claims court guide for Ontario residents

“I haven’t been able to stop making and daydreaming tools I can now build with AI.”

Stephanie, Toronto · Prototyping with AI, January 2026

Past the terminal, and building

“Getting started with terminal was daunting so I never got started. Your setup walkthrough was so helpful… a large hurdle that you helped make feel like a breeze.”

John · Intro to Vibecoding, April 2026

From intimidated to a working prototype

“I was resistant to trying AI tools and was so intimidated by them… we spent a lot of time live demoing together which helped build confidence. Really fun workshop and left with a bunch of ideas to build (and my own working prototype).”
